Frick Estate Cultural Landscape, Prides Crossing, MA

Henry Clay Frick’s summer residence “Eagle Rock” on Boston’s north shore was the subject of this multi-year preservation and rehabilitation program. The project scope included the development of a master plan to restore the grounds and gardens (circa 1911) surrounding the former mews and carriage house after a generation of neglect and mismanagement. Plans were developed for the restoration of the Edwardian-era parterre and principal water feature, pergola, shrubbery and perennial borders as well as greensward rehabilitation and arboricultural stewardship.
