The “Boxwood” Estate, Chevy Chase, MD
This commanding early 20th century Colonial-Revival style residence – known as “Boxwood” – required a courtyard and driveway design to reflect the architectural strength and character of the house. The octagonal-shaped courtyard is fashioned from antique cobble stones and ribbons of bluestone. A Red Maple is the courtyard’s focal point as is an elegant corridor of boxwood and a holly hedge leading to a restored carriage house.
